A Health Service Provider in Psychology is a licensed/certified psychologist, at the independent practice level in his/her state, province or country, who is trained and experienced in the delivery of preventive, consultative, assessment and therapeutic services. The National Register credentials licensed psychologists, promotes credentialed psychologists to consumer, provides distinction and value to its registrants, guides psychology students towards credentialing, and enhances psychologists’ contributions to integrated health care. The National Register is a non-profit organization with more than 30 years of experience serving consumers, psychologists and the health care community. To be listed in the National Register, psychologists pay a $330 application fee, plus $145 in annual dues, and must meet strict criteria. Once approved, registrants enjoy a listing in the National Register’s online searchable database (OSD) as well as continuing education and other benefits.
